CARE GUIDE
JEWELRY CARE
For plated items, it's best to remove your jewelry when:
- Bathing
- Working out
- Swimming especially in water with chlorine or saltwater
- Putting on lotion and sprays
- Cleaning the house or using harsh chemicals
- Storage: Keep your jewelry in a safe dry place. Storing your pieces individually in soft pouches can help to avoid scuffs and scratches as well
- Our gold vermeil items are heavy gold micron in order to achieve longer wear with more gold content. To get the most out of your first plating use the first on first off rule. To clean use water only and dry off right away after cleaning.
Juliette Muir has a 1 year warranty for gold plated items but pieces can be re-plated at any time. contact info@juliettemuir.com for help!
Silver:
Silver can tarnish over time when exposed to the elements, and lose its shine over time with wear. They can be polished with a jewelry cloth and cleaned in a soft soap / warm water solution. Please do not try to polish gold plated jewelry as it will remove the plating.
CHAIN CARE
- Use warm water and mild soap
- Polish chain polishing cloth (do this gently with delicate chains.)
- Always dry the jewelry before storing
STONE CARE
The stones in your jewelry should be treated with the same care as the gold plated care instructions. Turquoise, pearls, and opal pieces are especially fragile - make sure they stay clean and dry to avoid breakage. Diamonds are able to withstand more but should still be treated with care.
